Bankruptcy is a legal declaration regarding the inability of an individual or organization to continue paying debt to creditors. There are numerous alternatives to filing for bankruptcy, but sometimes there is no other option. The Bankruptcy Law that went into effect in October 2005 is making this option more difficult, but by no means insurmountable. I will be your counsel every step of the way during the complex process.
I represent people (debtors) just like you to protect their financial well being and property through Chapter 7 Bankruptcy proceedings. Chap. 7 allows debtors to keep most or usually all of their assets (exempt property) and in mostly instances the only thing the debtor gives up is debt. Your income level is a determining factor in whether or not you can file for Bankruptcy in Chapter 7. If your income exceeds this level, you must file under a different category, I will point you in the right direction if this is the case.
If you are swamped with the creditor calls or just in the early stages of considering options, contact me now! The earlier you contact me, the more helpful I can be in helping you develop a plan to protect your property, your assets and your financial peace of mind. |
